IFy Atelier is an independent creative publishing studio based in Belfast, creating culturally inspired books, thoughtful storytelling, and creative projects that celebrate global culture, curiosity, and individuality.
Established in January 2026, the studio operates under House of IFy Limited, trading as IFy Atelier. Founded by writer and publisher Ifeyinwa Nwaejike, the studio explores culture through publishing, illustration, and long-form storytelling, creating work that encourages readers to pause, wonder, learn, and reconnect with their imagination.
IFy Atelier believes that culture is not a stereotype or a performance, but something lived, layered, personal, and continually evolving. Rather than presenting places and people as monoliths, the studio explores the individuality within cultures, the overlooked details, and the stories that make communities unique.
Working across illustrated books, written works, and future creative media, IFy Atelier aims to create thoughtful publications that remain meaningful long after the final page.
Our philosophy
At IFy Atelier, we believe that culture is not a monolith.
Too often, people, places, and communities are reduced to stereotypes or presented as though a single story can represent everyone. We believe the opposite. Every culture is shaped by countless individual experiences, traditions, perspectives, and histories that deserve to be explored with curiosity and respect.
Our guiding principle is Celebrating Culture Through Creativity. Through books, storytelling, illustration, and future creative projects, we aim to encourage people to discover the richness, diversity, and individuality found within cultures across the world.
To us, culture is more than heritage or tradition. It is a people’s way of life. It is expressed through language, food, art, architecture, beliefs, customs, relationships, and everyday experiences. Because people and societies continue to grow and change, culture is never static. It is lived, shaped, and continually evolving.
We hope our work encourages readers not only to learn about different cultures, but also to appreciate their complexity, question assumptions, and approach the world with greater curiosity and imagination.
Our Approach
IFy Atelier combines creative publishing with thoughtful research and careful design.
Every project begins with curiosity and is developed through research, illustration, writing, editing, and production to create books and stories intended to be collected, revisited, and shared.
Alongside its publications, IFy Atelier also documents the realities of building an independent publishing studio, offering an open look at the creative process, branding, production, and international distribution.

The Story Behind IFy Atelier
IFy Atelier began with a simple idea: that creativity can be both calming and culturally meaningful.
The Iconic African Locations Colouring Book series is IFy Atelier’s debut publication and the first expression of the studio’s mission to celebrate culture through creativity.
Created to address a gap in publishing, the series combines carefully researched illustration with real locations across Africa to produce books that are visually engaging, educational, and accessible to readers of all ages. Each volume encourages creativity, curiosity, and a deeper appreciation of the continent’s remarkable landscapes, heritage, and cultural diversity.
More than a colouring book, the series reflects IFy Atelier’s belief that culture is best explored through curiosity, imagination, and thoughtful storytelling.
As the studio grows, future publications will continue exploring culture, identity, history, technology, and the human experience through both illustrated and written works.
